India's first patented system that transforms plastic waste into certified, structural civil engineering components — retaining walls that last a lifetime, built from materials that would otherwise destroy the planet.
India generates 35 million tonnes of plastic waste every year. The average city produces 1,600 tonnes of solid waste per day — 12% of which is plastic. Only 30% gets recycled.
Single Use Plastic (SUP) and Multi-Layer Plastic (MLP) are classified as non-recyclable under Government of India guidelines. The only options available today are incineration — releasing toxic dioxins — or landfill. Both are environmental catastrophes.
PolyKrib changes this entirely. We take plastic waste that would otherwise be burned or buried, and transform it into structural civil engineering components — durable, certified, and ready to install.
A simple, powerful idea: collect plastic waste, manufacture structural lumber, build certified retaining walls.
Single Use Plastic (SUP) and Multi-Layer Plastic (MLP) are collected from Material Recovery Facilities, landfills, and urban waste streams — materials that have no conventional recycling pathway.
The collected plastic is processed into polymeric crib elements — structural lumber with good compressive and flexural strength, zero porosity, and non-biodegradable properties. Factory-made and ready to install.
The crib elements are assembled on-site into Reinforced Soil Crib Walls up to 10m high. Geogrids are connected via bodkin joints for maximum strength. Gravel infill provides drainage. Structurally certified and insured.
Made from 100% recycled plastic waste — SUP and MLP diverted from landfills and water bodies. Fully upcycled into a product of higher structural and economic value.
Performs in all climatic conditions — from monsoon-saturated slopes to arid highway cuttings. The polymeric lumber is impervious to water, frost, and UV degradation.
Zero ongoing maintenance. The crib lumber is non-biodegradable with zero porosity — it will not rot, corrode, or require repainting over its entire service life.
Substantially reduces the consumption of stone and concrete. Uses locally available granular backfill. Designed to work with nature — reducing the carbon footprint of retaining wall construction.
Completely resistant to termites, insects, and biological attack. Unlike timber crib walls, PolyKrib elements will not be compromised by pest infestation over time.
Designed for permanence. The polymeric structure does not degrade over time — delivering a service life that outlasts conventional timber or unreinforced masonry alternatives.
Two categories of application — from high-load structural walls to urban landscape products.
High-performance structural applications where plastic lumber elements replace conventional concrete or timber in load-bearing civil engineering systems.
Urban beautification and landscape products manufactured from the same recycled plastic lumber — durable, weather-proof, and maintenance-free.
